What is Inlay?

Inlay, written as "inlay" in English, means "embedded" or "inserted". It is a method of knitting where twisted yarn, made using air pressure, is inserted between the stitches of the base yarn. This is also known as "insert knitting".

The resulting fabric is similar to the reverse side of sweatshirts or trainers, but unlike them, it does not have connecting threads in the middle. This makes the inlay fabric less thick while maintaining a firm, less stretchy texture.
