YouTube - talking about 10th anniversary limited items.
JAPAN BLUE JEANS in fact started 10 years ago as a jeans brand for overseas, "Let's get people overseas to wear MADE IN JAPAN jeans!"
At that time, Japanese replica jeans had started being watched by overseas jeans geeks and I wanted to meet their expectations.
We went to exhibitions and stores to find places that would sell our products.

The following two points are the main reasons why we called it "overseas exclusive".
■ Fit (silhouette)
It does not mean that we need to change the fit of jeans for Overseas and Japanese customers because their figure are different, it is important to develop the fits to meet the preference by countries.
■ Materials (Fabric)
It is said that "Japanese denim is No. 1" both in Japan and abroad, but there are many denim fabrics from overseas that are better than Japanese denim.
We use the materials that are made only in Japan, and cannot be imitated by overseas factories.
Many people in overseas wear slim jeans that fit their legs and few people wear wide leg jeans which are popular in Japan.
When I wear wide fit jeans, said that "Oh! Japanese style!".
So then we decided to start with slim fit and made two styles, tight straight and skinny.
They sold not bad but not so great.
When we were looking for the cause, we found that the hem was a little too wide.
We were often told that Japanese jeans are good quality but do not fit well.
We found that most people on the street...
- The people who are slim wear tight jeans, and the hem is tapered to make it even more narrow.
- Even the people who used to do sports and their thighs are as big as the waist, wear tapered fit squeezing toward the hem.
Every figures wear a tapered style that tapers toward the hem, regardless the sizes of their waists and thighs.
I was a bit shocked by this because I thought that it's cool to wear jeans that are wide...However I saw a hope (light) here and we researched tapered fit jeans.
After repeated trial and error, we finally release our tapered style jeans. We had a lot of complements and they sold very well.
The research of the balance of the hem at that time has been carried over to the current standard model "CIRCLE".
Especially "3: Straight" and "4: Classic straight" are called "Straight" but both are not straight and slightly tapered at the hem.
This is because to look slimmer even tough it is wide fit.
It is a small adjustment, but that makes a big difference when you wear jeans.
When we are young, we can wear wide, skinny, short, whatever we want.
However as we get older, I personally think tapered fit is the best. It makes you look sleek, not untidy, and gives a mature look.
I of course recommend it for young people as well!
We think "jeans = casual", but you can create a variety of styles by changing the fit (silhouette).
I hope you will find your favorite pair in JBJ.
